After a short hiatus due to my recent and ongoing combination of full-time work, organising visa and everything else in the mix, I admit that yes… I haven’t had the time to so far to a new ‘do for Les Deux; however it will come together soon enough.

Going back across the encounters and highlights of the past two months so far…

1. For those of you who know Wenxi - she has a blog :) and in one of her recent posts, did a lovely detailed memoir review of my surprise party organised by G: Nom It Like It’s Hot

2. Visited my relatives who live in the complete opposite direction to me and had a final farewell with my grandparents and uncle, aunt and cousins!

3. Lunch with Sharon and the girls @ Mad Cow, Ivy
I thought the decor was a very pretty delicate Tuscan lemon twist which was quite refreshing due to my normal Japanese dinner ventures.

4. Various social outings with a range of people, here and far and particularly those with whom I haven’t seen for a while! I will miss you all :(

But for now… back to packing ! UNE SEMAINE DE PLUS! (One week more!)

Birth of Olive

After a very exhausting period of around a week a half, which consisted of browsing camera review and blog sites, asking around, time-consuming price-matching between retailers, continuous changes in ‘maximum self-expenditure limits’ and change of mind; I have finally parted with cash and in doing so, received a lovely dark Canon Powershot SX100… and named it Olive!

Finally having had the chance to take it out for its first walk about on the Saturday, I took it for a promenade around mes jardins and playing around for the first time, manual settings. My mother (being the flower-obsessed OCD person that she is) saw my first batch of photos and then nagged and nagged me until I ultimately succumbed and followed around taking as many shots of our garden flora as she wanted!

Enjoy! Oh and G bought a new black Canon IXUS100 - which by the way, the colour choice being clearly a result of my recent commenting on his original choice of silver being too ‘mainstream’!

Launching, Now

Having launched Les Deux last week, I am slowly building the layout up and experimenting with various posts and ramblings.

At the moment, I am working from home, whilst grooving to MJ (sorry Gareth, will return your CD soon but I have yet to organise my iTunes on my mac yet so haven’t uploaded songs as yet). [RIP]

I am waiting for the moment that I’ll finally be able to get access to Gimp and hopefully it will work on my mac!

I have also just recently relinquished my role of President of the UNSW division of the University Network for Investing & Trading (UNIT) after quite a satisfactory semester and am now looking forward to an exciting period of my life overseas!

Now, 28 days and counting down …
