One of the cutest café/cake establishments that I’ve ever come across… Aïda ♥

  

A coffee/cake chain that we visited in Vienna, that tickles your fancy from miles away with its nostalgic pink and brown décor - inside and out!

Many thanks to our lovely Jenni for taking us to this cute little place where the staff are dressed in sandals and pink socks! The service was great and the food delicious with a large range of sweet things to choose from.

We all had a Mélange which consists of half coffee/half milk with cream on top. As the menu was all in german, it was a bit hard to choose the coffee so we went with this! Turned out to be great, not too strong but it certainly did the job properly.

And of course, we split an apple strudel (or apfelstrüdel in german) which was delicious and actually my first ever!

Golatsche

Another traditional Viennese treat we tasted was the golatsche which become my preferred bakery item - filled with cottage cheese and absolutely divine! Gareth however didn’t like it…. oh well all the more for me! :)
